This thing called life, well...it is hard.
Just when we think we have it figured out a little bit and are sailing smoothly, life changes.
The seasons of life, the ups and downs, twists and turns...well, they are never ending.
News that can drop us to our knees, hurts and rejections from people we care about, questions that go unanswered, unexpected changes.
It is Monday morning and I am reflecting on the weekend because Saturday was our Decision Maker workshop. These workshops, classes, retreats that Darlene and I are planning and holding...they are a gift from God to me.
I believe with all of my heart, that every lady (and every person actually)
needs to take the time to care for themselves because life is just that hard.
We go through each day and we put the fires out. We make decisions on the fly without really thinking about how they will affect our future. We don't have time to think about the dreams we once had or even consider making a plan to work towards them.
Each one of us has been through struggles and disappointments, yet we are so busy trying to manage everything that we don't make the time to deal with it. Dealing with the "stuff" in our lives is not easy but it is so very necessary.
If we don't take the time to care for ourselves by either healing our past or planning for our future, then we are just plain stuck. Learning these tools have been so instrumental, monumental in fact, with some pretty tough things in my life as well as just the daily grind grind "stuff".
Pause.
We need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves before we can efficiently assist others. I am going to commit to just stopping for a few minutes and taking the time for self care. Exercise, a workshop, journaling, breathing....time for me to be the very best I can be.
Restore to soar...because you deserve the life you dream of.
